Your Favorite Local Billboard

Esteemed and Artsy Neighbors,

Please see the two attached low-res photos of your favorite local billboard. (High-res available upon request.)

You will see that the two photos have very different for-art-grounds. Some elements of the scene include:

1) the sign face
2) the vertical boards below the sign
3) the grass between the sign and the sidewalk
4) the sidewalk
5) the Brewery and its fence
6) the advertising bench
7) the non-advertising bench
8) the Employment Guide box
9) the waste unit
10) the bus stop shelter
11) the bottle

So... what was the question?

I hate those Employment Guide boxes. They seem like fraud to me. If we take the initiative to beautify the space, I wonder if we can persuade the city (or whoever issues permits for those things) to move it somewhere else.

Al had a good idea for the billboard. Something like "paint on older version of that scene/intersection on the board, then on the board in the board, paint an older scene yet, and so on, through time."

My billboard idea: Remember the Pig's Eye Beer ad? Pig's Eye Parrant was a significant part of the history of the area. I'd like to see an image of him with a dialogue bubble with content that changes from time to time. Maybe we could have a competition for that space for a year's worth (say, quarterly) of interesting announcements, sayings, greetings, etc. Who owns that billboard, anyway?
